Penny Black: Butterfly Love Card

Penny Black Butterfly Love Card by Maria Byrd |

Butterfly Love Card for Valentine's Day has lots of hearts and sparkle! As you can tell by now, I use different brands from my stash and is fond of shiny/sparkly touches.  The sentiment is Penny Black True Love die-cut from a ruby red glitter paper and the background paper from DCWV The Far East Stack.

Center piece cut and embossed from two consecutive sizes of Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Twenty-Eight die-cut.  Edges daubed with Ranger Distress Ink in Forest Moss and Frayed Burlap.  Heart flowers from Penny Black All You Need stamped with Altenew Crisp Dye Inks in Frosty Pink, Puffy Heart, Rose Quartz, Soft Lilac, and Warm Sunshine.  Wink of Stella brushed over the blooms for some glitter and shine.

Butterfly from Inkadinkado Beauty Stems stamped in VersaMark Watermark Clear and heat embossed in gold.  The edges of a red patterned DCWV paper was lightly distressed with a fine grit sandpaper.  Four tiny hearts from Lawn Fawn Snow Day die-cut from red glitter paper and glued to each corner.  Sequins from Taylored Expressions and 28 Lilac Lane added for embellishment.  The card somehow reminded me of Madame Butterfly.

I would like to enter this card to the following challenges:
4. The Card Concept: Love & Romance (Entry #68) - Clean & Layered, inspired by hearts, colors, & garden feel of image

Thank you for visiting and do come back soon!
