Lawn Fawn: White Christmas in July Card

Lawn Fawn White Christmas in July Card by Maria Byrd |

Took me a while to make this card since I've never done a "white on white" card yet.  I spent about two days trying to figure out how to do it and almost gave up on submitting something for a challenge due this afternoon.  Just sat there with bits and pieces of failed attempts while drinking my coffee and munching on cereal (yup, my brunch).. and then the light bulb came on! 💡

Most of the elements are from Lawn Fawn (rectangle stitched frame, bunny, fox, stars, and sentiment).  For layer 1, white sheen textured cardstock is cut with A2 size stitched rectangular die.  The middle is then cut out with the next-to-the-largest Cottage Cutz oval stitched frame (used for layer 2).  Then a sparkle cardstock is cut using largest oval stitched frame and adhered with double-sided tape on layer 1.

Layer 2 is the oval piece cut from middle of layer 1.  It's then die-cut with stars from Lawn Fawn Starry Skies and backed with a super sparkly cardstock remnant from my stash.  I glued three cut-out stars on some spots.  The white embossed trees (Fiskars) on vellum are from my first few attempts which I ended up fussy cutting. The middle tree is heat-embossed again but with sparkle powder this time.  It's also adhered to a white cardstock and then attached with foam tape.

The bunny and fox are heat embossed in white on vellum, fussy cut, and filled with Wink of Stella.  They were then backed on white cardstock and raised with a thicker foam tape.  For the ground, a piece of vellum is cut with stitched oval and border.  I attached the bottom part with foam tape behind the two figures.  The only part of the top lightly glued is the one tucked underneath the tree.  Lastly, 'Merry Christmas' sentiment is heat embossed in silver.
