Hero Arts: Snowflake Ornament Holiday Card
I fell in love the first time I saw the “Snowflake and Ornament Fancy Die” by Hero Arts. It’s the highlight on this simple yet elegant Christmas Holiday cards. The background printed cardstocks are from my stash which are probably retired by now. However, you can easily find similar ones.
I die-cut a glitter and white cardstock, then glued them together in an offset position. I wait for them to fully dry and then dry embossed a vellum paper with snowflakes. I use this as a backdrop for the ornament. Since paper usually shrinks a bit when used with Elmer’s glue, I cut the vellum slightly larger than the first two layers.
The delicate ornament is removable from the card. It’s tied to the card with a candy
cane colored string by carefully piercing the cardstock. From the back side of card's front, the string is pulled through two holes and the ornament's
top. Then the string is tied in a single bow on the front. A Holiday sentiment greeting from Lawn Fawn is heat embossed in either red or black embossing powder inside the card.
Happy Holidays and thank you for stopping by!
